Novorossiysk Sea Port boosts cargo turnover 2.72% in 11 mths

Russia's Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP) increased cargo turnover 2.72% to 74.333 million tonnes in January-November 2008 compared to the same period of 2007,the company said in a press release on December 18.

 
Liquid cargo volumes declined 0.32% to 50.088 million tonnes. Oil product turnover increased 20.49% to 9.978 million tonnes,while crude oil handling fell 4.36%.

 
The port handled 350,000 TEU of containers,50.74% more than in the same period last year.

 
NCSP is the Russia's biggest port operator. Cargo turnover totaled 79.4 million tonnes last year.

 
Revenue in the first nine months of 2008 was $487.560 million under IFRS,EBITDA was $251.093 million and net profit was $106.335 million.

 
NCSP conducted an IPO on the London Stock Exchange and on Russian exchanges in November 2007, placing 19.38% of shares
