Watchdog closes antitrust case vs Novorossiisk Commercial Seaport

Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service has closed a case against Novorossiisk Commercial Sea port, or NMTP, the press office of NMTP Group said Tuesday.

 
The regulator issued an instruction to Novorossiisk Grain Terminal to take steps to ensure fair competition, the press office said.

 
Novorossiisk Commercial Sea Port and to Novorossiisk Grain Terminal are stevedore companies included in NMTP Group.
The regulator said earlier this month that that Novorossiisk Grain Terminal had violated the antimonopoly law by setting excessively high prices for handling of grain exports.

 
Novorossiisk Grain Terminal plans to appeal the decision of the antimonopoly service in a court in the near future, NMTP Group said.
